چکیده
The beamline BL7B at the UVSOR facility for solid-state spectroscopy has been opening for users after reconstruction. This beamline consists of a 3m normal incidence monochromator and covers the spectral range from the vacuum ultraviolet to the infrared region. The optical configuration and the performance, such as photon number, purity and resolving power, are reported. # 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. Design and performance of a new VIS–VUV photoluminescence beamline at UVSOR-III
A new bending-magnet beamline with a 2.5 m normal-incidence monochromator has been constructed to serve with a light source in the visible-vacuum-ultraviolet region for photoluminescence, transmission and reflection spectroscopies of solids at the UVSOR-III 750 MeV synchrotron radiation light source. The aim is to pave the way to establishing a beamline with high photon flux, high brilliance, h...
متن کاملOptimization of the 3 m TGM beamline, at CAMD, for constant initial state spectroscopy
The 3 m toroidal grating monochromator (TGM) VUV beamline at CAMD/LSU was realigned to achieve better illumination of the monochromator gratings with the goal of substantially increasing the fl ux at the higher photon energies. This is partly accomplished through a tilting of the monochromator (by about of 13.5°), with respect to the plane defi ned by the synchrotron, providing a smaller grazin...
متن کاملDesign of a dedicated beamline for THz coherent synchrotron radiation at UVSOR-III
We report the design of a THz beamline for coherent synchrotron radiation (CSR) at the UVSOR-III very-low-emittance synchrotron radiation light source. The emitted THzCSR is collected by a three-dimensional “magic mirror,” which is a perfect collecting mirror for bending-magnet radiation with an acceptance angle of 288 mrad (H) × 80 mrad (V). A quasi-monochromatic THz-CSR with an average flux o...
متن کاملMicrofocusing at the PG1 beamline at FLASH
The Kirkpatrick-Baez (KB) refocusing mirror system installed at the PG1 branch of the plane-grating monochromator beamline at the soft X-ray/XUV free-electron laser in Hamburg (FLASH) is designed to provide tight aberration-free focusing down to 4 µm × 6 µm full width at half-maximum (FWHM) on the sample. Such a focal spot size is mandatory to achieve ultimate resolution and to guarantee best p...
متن کاملThe monochromator beamline at FLASH: performance, capabilities and upgrade plans
The monochromator beamline at the FLASH facility at DESY is the worldwide first XUV monochromator beamline operational on a free electron laser (FEL) source. Being a single-user machine, FLASH demands a high flexibility of the instrumentation to fulfil the needs of diverse experiments performed by a multidisciplinary user community. Thus, the beamline has not only been used for high-resolution ...
